A notary public is a lawyer appointed by the central or state government under the Notaries Act, 1952. When a notary attests your document, they confirm who signed it, record it in their notarial register and put their seal and signature on it. That makes the document acceptable to banks, courts, landlords, universities and government offices.

Affidavit kaha banta hai — where is an affidavit made?
An affidavit is drafted on non-judicial e-stamp paper and signed before a notary, oath commissioner or magistrate. We do all three steps at our office.
What is the difference between a notary and an oath commissioner?
An oath commissioner administers oaths on affidavits mainly for court use. A notary can notarise affidavits, agreements, POAs and true copies for much wider use.
Do I need to be present for notarisation?
Yes. The person signing must appear before the notary with original ID.
Can a notarised document be used abroad?
