Chamber of Commerce (COC) attestation

Commercial documents going abroad usually start at a Chamber of Commerce. The chamber confirms the document came from a genuine business; MEA and the embassy then attest it. We prepare the paperwork and handle each stage for exporters and companies.

What is COC attestation?

COC attestation — the first step for business documents

A Chamber of Commerce is a recognised business body. Its attestation tells MEA and foreign embassies that a commercial document was issued by a real, registered company. For most countries outside the Apostille Convention the chain is:

  1. Company signs & stamps
  2. Chamber of Commerce
  3. MEA attestation
  4. Embassy attestation

For Hague Convention countries, company documents can usually be apostilled by the MEA after notarisation or chamber attestation instead. Some countries — notably the UAE — now process commercial invoices and certificates of origin through their own online systems. We check the current rule for your destination.
